It’s most interesting to see the progress being made, and I think I understand where the crossover is to go, which will be to the south of where the line from number 3 - using the new platform numbers - joins the up main. If not then trains would not get to number 3 on coming in from Hull. Well, this afternoon, I have a photo’ by SIMON BEESTON, on Flickr, of a class 37, 37032, in about 1983. I believe the ex second class Pullmans were used as first class coaches in normal service so would actually be slightly inferior to conventional first class coaches as they had 2+2 seating instead of the normal first class 2+1

The 31s around this time were having a problem with piston rings. These had been made by a different manufacturer and were machined the same as previous, this led to oil throwing from recently overhauled power units. The two lamps on the platform would suggest the coaches are connected to the ETH shore supply. Al Taylor 1 1

RMweb Gold Market65 Posted November 22, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 22, 2021 Hi, russ p. No, the 155’s are keeping going, it’s the Bridlington, Hull, and York service which is being withdrawn from the timetable change in December. My fault for not having made things a bit clearer.
