Ronald48
I started the legs today. For that I use the set of my 0N30 layouy Lake Louisa who was on the Warley show in 2014. It contains of 4 wide legs and 2 small ones. The latter are now coupled. I made these in a way I always can use the again for their original layout. The first set: 20160614_110812 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr 20160614_111342 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr I make a sort of adapterplate that fits the current modules: 20160614_130007 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr Because I need a flat floor to set things up i used the livingroom today: 20160614_130941 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr First the double set that will be mounted in the middle so that it provides some extra stability: 20160614_131944 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr After mounting the 2nd set it is time for stability between the legs:: 20160614_132813 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr And there is part 1 on its feet: 20160614_141020 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr 20160614_141047 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr And after some hard work the 2nd part fits the first:: 20160614_155632 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr 20160614_160007 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr Some extra strength: 20160614_161249 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr I did some experimenting with the layout and settle for this: 20160614_165900 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr And at the right side (between the piece of wood and the drawbridge will be the right CV bridge): 20160614_165404 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr One of the backside: 20160614_181500 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr I finished the corners with a special profiled piece of wood: 20160614_191014 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr Left corner: 20160614_191307 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr Right corner: 20160614_191254 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr A 5-year old can hide in one module : 20160614_193734 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr After breaking down this is what is left, and this is also the starting point when setting up these 4 modules: 20160614_193852 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr The layout!: 20160614_194224 - kopie by Ronald-45, on Flickr Later more! Ronald48
Oke, more to build. On one side there is a girder bridge. For that I took the new Walthers 70 ft. Ronald48
Thanks Ken. I will consider it. Today I modified the bridge drive. It has as-is one microswitch provided in the pylon under the bridge. The intention is to mount the second one in one of the 2 bridge pylons. But; I don't want that, my idea is that it is better to have both under the bridge. So, first I soldered the stuff together as per kit instructions: 20160725_195824 by Ronald-45, on Flickr For the second switch there is a mount provided in the kit that you can attach to one of the kit pylons. But I do not use these. So I used the mount, attached the microswitch up-side-down and glued it 90 degrees apart from the other switch: 20160725_200416 by Ronald-45, on Flickr Not totally straight, I did this so that the 2 small heads of the bolts 9from the mount) do not touch the large gear of the bridge: 20160725_200431 by Ronald-45, on Flickr 20160725_200502 by Ronald-45, on Flickr To prove that it works a small test in the kitchen: - And a test on the layout itself.
