MikeTrice
OK, I admit it: having to modify the Bill Bedford LSWR W-Irons is a pain. In another topic I did suggest to Bill that he might like to consider adding the distinctive GNR W-Iron to his range. His response was interesting: "I've given up designing etches, especially these small frets, but there is nothing to stop anyone else drawing up a similar arrangement for prototypes that are not included in the present range.". After thinking long and hard about this I plucked up the courage to approach Eileen's Emporium and offer to produce artwork for them for some Bill Bedford style GNR W-Irons suitable for 3'7" wheels. I did consider whether to change the springing design but in the end decided that I really could not improve of Bill's design. I based the frets on Bill's LSWR product, my preferred arrangement for these vehicles. The resulting etches are now available direct from Eileen's: https://eileensempor...’7”-wheels-4mm/. Derek Russan
There are also 3 specifically designed for 6 wheeled coaches I suspect the MR one is as close as you need - BBWF517-4. Note that the graphic on this page shows the 7mm version. The correct version is: BWF517 MR Coach W-Irons.pdf Nobody told me. Now corrected.
