daftbovine
Bought it too. The track on my layout is already down but I really enjoy reading layout design magazines and books like this one.
Karhedron
I bought volume 1 last year and it was some entertaining holiday reading. I might pick this one up for the same idea.
Steam_Julie
There's an illustration of Ruston Quay on the front, but no plan of it inside. Julie
Karhedron
Not a bad read but not quite as good as last year's IMHO. 7/
Administrators Phil Parker Posted August 25, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 25, 2016 There's an illustration of Ruston Quay on the front, but no plan of it inside. Julie P72 and 73 I think (I've only just seen a copy) which covers the design from my initial sketches to the finished layout.
Steam_Julie
I must have turned multiple pages & missed it that way. No pictures of the warehouse compounded the mistake!Julie

Administrators SteveCole Posted September 5, 2016 Author Administrators Share Posted September 5, 2016 NONE of the WHSmiths I visited, on holiday or at home, have copies! They may have sold out. A number of model shops are stocking them. Hattons recently placed another order.
edcayton
I think you've got a cheek to charge postage when you sell direct. You are cutting out the "middle men" and making more profit. You could even send it free to BRM subscribers to make up for all the plans you have left out over the years. Ed

Hroth
Missed out on the "free postage" offer because the link I had was for subscribers and I didn't have my subscriber id to hand. Then I couldn't find it in WHS at all (as mentioned above) until this Sunday when I noticed a wad of them stacked in a section reserved for "special issues" and "one off" bookazines, most being non-railway subjects and the railway ones being about "Flying Scotsman, the Worlds Most Famous Train, Officially the First to reach 100 MPH!". Ahem. Which is odd, as two other magazines trackplan/layout mags were displayed in the normal Model Railway section, where I'd been looking!
Removed a/c
I wish your site would combine postage, I think £5 per mag is a bit much.
