Popular Post KNP
Funny how you look at pictures. Originally I was going to discard this one as I had missed part of the front of the loco, then I thought if I crop it a bit it looks intentional Then I cropped it some more And I think I have got away with it.....! Do I notice a bit of 'lamp leaning' on the front too? I think the fireman has imbibed a little too much festive cheer these past few days. 1
Popular Post KNP
Over the next few weeks odd photos will appear from the archive as I have nearly forty pictures that are just sitting in a folder. The one is quite a few months old as the Collett Goods does not have the shirt button motif. Nice view, however, of the Fowler ploughing engine given to me by Mick. Ponthir28
Do like the ploughing engine. Not sure how you get it off. But that’s the story of little Muddle. 1

We’ve been here before when I first did it. Metal slides are put under each wheel and it will be pulled off sideways by a winch fixed to ground anchors. I have some pictures of this being done in a Welsh station. 5

Popular Post KNP
Strange goings on the goods yard.. Apparently a black van has parked there! Locals are saying it is a new fangled stealth van being tested by the GWR……! This is not true….. Being I have run out of plastic rod for the cattle dock gates…..my fault for putting an empty packet back in the draw!! More ordered and somewhere in the postal system at the moment. So work has started on converting a very old Bachmann Toad into PW brake van, it’s another one of those LM oddballs that is loosely based on one used in the Severn Tunnel…… First coat of paint to review, not happy with the scribbing as the original has slightly rounded moulded edges and mine are sharp….. 15 4

Silas
Another wonderful picture Kevin, so much to look at and so inspiring! I need to go back through the thread again to see how you did the hedgerows, but 494 pages is a little daunting! The world is a better place with a morning dose of LM! MrWolf
It will be interesting to see how the PW brake turns out, I started making one using a Ratio kit as a basis. It got put aside during the great baseboard building frenzy.

Outbuildings first then towards the pub and the shop. State of play as of a few moments ago... Lead valley gutter added, wriggly tin to the store roof and interior of garage being worked on. Would like to fix the model to the base but need to finish garage interior first as it would almost be impossible to work on if I did Decision on pub name pending, I have decided on one which has mainly historical connotations to me but first I need to find out if I can get sign pictures of the internet that I can use. Thanks for all your help and advise on a name, much appreciated. Hi Kevin, sorry if it has been mentioned somewhere, but what material do you use to build your walls? Is it some kind of thick cardboard (like puzzles are made from)? Thanks! Edit: Actually, I found the answer a few pages later Edited January 8, 2022 by TrainMan2001 1
Popular Post KNP
Later picture of the Collett Goods as it is now sporting the shirt button motif.. Edit…..whoops not the Collett but the Mogul 2-6-0….should count the wheels before commenting!!!! These wagons are a very old Bachmann model, I would say in excess of 35yrs old, apart from the chassis and the thick plastic moulding it still stands up well today.
