Twas on a Tuesday morning
The carpenter came round
He hammered and he chiselled and he said:
"Look what I've found!
Your gate posts are full of dry-rot
But I'll put them all to rights."
Then he nailed right through a cable and out went all the lights
Oh, it all makes work for the working man to do!

Kevin, your last photo leaves me with a great dilemma. It is clear that you have modelled the parts of LM that would never expect to be seen from normal viewing angles even if you were a seven foot tall contortionist! I can’t seem to get the visible bits of my layout anywhere near your standards but I suppose clearing off all the detritus, unfinished projects, empty boxes etc etc might help.  Inspirational as ever, must start a clear up……

Just make sure you do it at your own pace ……………

I do like the idea of some of the buildings being removable with disguised edges. I've attached two of my more complex buildings to boards and I won't now be fixing the completed board permanently to the layout.

I was just thinking the exact same thing (whilst I should be concentrating on an online work meeting...)

Perhaps for my station building?

That's something that I definitely want to be detachable. The good thing about my model is that being a timber building, it doesn't need to look bedded in, supposedly being on a concrete raft that keeps the woodwork an inch or two off the ground.

Love that view, as you look down the yard to the town it gives the impression of going on to infinity and beyond.

The back view of the harbour buildings reminds me of a scruffy corner of Paignton Harbour before it had a tidy up

I love these views. You really get a sense of the depth of the place. Little Muddle has obviously been a big inspiration for Bovey Quay.

That and spending every summer in Brixham. Early mornings watching the fish auction and the artists painting the harbour scene. The smell of fresh jam doughnuts and fish and chips. The noisy sea gulls singing away. Fond memories.
