Looking at the posters above, Morecambe and Wise were just finishing a panto season in Sleeping Beauty at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Bernard Thorpe Estate Agents were in St Martin's House, then only five years old but demolished for the Bull Ring redevelopment in 2000. At Patchway - on Saturday October 2, 1971, 6000 King George V makes a return to mainline steam, running from Hereford to Tysley. At Patchway - on Saturday October 2, 1971, 6000 King George V makes a return to mainline steam, running from Hereford to Tysley. GWR King George V with Pullman train 1970s perhaps.jpg 6000 was working at Tyseley Open Day on the following day. The Pullman Cars were parked by the Coal stage. Having just jumped off 37423 that had hauled us from Preston. And 37606 onwards to Carlisle. Later the same day in Leeds. These two are one of my mates and my big brother.
