Suppliers of 0.4 sq rod for point rodding

I am getting ready to order the components for the point rodding on Brent, I have a couple of packs of the Brassmasters cranks, I will be ordering the ModelU stools just as soon as I can find the excel file containing the quantities I require, but I am struggling to find the most effective source of the actual 0.4mm square rodding.

 

I have seen the MSE listing (packs of 10 1ft lengths), but really I would much prefer to work with something in much longer lengths (a yard would be perfect). I have had a quick google so far without success, so I was wondering if anyone knows of any alternate sources?

 

From memory I think I need over 100ft of wire

What's stopping you soldering the lengths together into a longer single length?

That is the back up option.

 

But if there's an easier alternative, I'd rather save modelling time for more interesting tasks.

I don't know of a UK supplier - although I am sure there must be one.

 

If you are going to Paris (or know someone who is), take a look at Weber. They seem to have everything!

Wizard Models sell rolls of 0.4mm Nickel Silver square section for point rodding if you want something even smaller.

I thought the rodding and channeling came in 20' maximum lengths, ( I stand to be corrected by someone who knows what they are talking about!), therefore a longer length will need cutting and jointing anyway, so the 300mm lengths are ok?
