Lima N Gauge Classes 31 and 55

My daughter in law's dad has given me three Lima N gauge engines which are non-runners which he hopes I will be able to get running. They are 2 Class 31s and a Class 55.

 

There doesn't seem to be any maintenance sheets available on the internet and I'm at loss as how to take the bodies off. Can anybody help please?

I have two Lima 31s. The only suggestion I can give it is to go and replace them with new Farish locos.

 

Sorry if this does not seam helpful but will, in the end, lead to less angst.

Thanks, I have them for repair only; if I can that is. The intention is then to pass them back to daughter-in-law's dad.
