Well it's been a little while since I updated.

I have just set up the layout to run a couple of new additions. I am getting a nice collection of little locos to run on this!

Latest arrivals are a Dapol Sentinel and a Minerva Peckett.

Whilst both run well they do seem to drop in the frog on the peco set track points so I will have to may be put some thin plasticard  in to lift the wheels up a little.

Looking ahead I may add a factory gate at the end between the two sidings and cobble over the yard, adding possibly a small yard crane. It's only a small space so I cannot do too much with it.

I'm teetering on the brink of O gauge at the moment, this great little layout is one of the reasons! I take it all your loco collection (noting the comment about the Simplex and Peckett) all run well on the setrack points? I fancy an 05 and perhaps an 08.

Additionally have you had any problems with buffer locking when propelling? Being able to use 3 link couplings is another thing that draws me to 7mm scale.

Never had any buffer lock issues or derailment it all runs fine in that respect.

Just a bit of a clunk with the peckett and sentinel on the frog. I placed some plastic and it seems to improve it.

Well, the layout is at the caravan in Scarborough! First time I have operated it since the last post. ( I do have a larger loft layout to tinker with).

Both the Peckett and the 05 ran fine along with a new purchase of a conflat and container. Some pictures of my play session below!

So the layout is back at the caravan.

Latest addition is a Minerva class 14.

It's a lovely model and I managed to put the headcodes in - all half numerals showing as per many of the pictures of the real thing.

Though I am not pleased with my positioning of the individual numbers of the loco so will get railtec to sort out the correct digits on one transfer.

A few pics below of a running session/play

Hi Paul,

It is always great to see more photos of Stoneferry Engineering - I have always enjoyed your layout on RMweb and seeing what can be done with O Gauge in such a small space. It is one of my favourites and is very inspirational.

I hope you are enjoying your Class 14 - I don't have one but as you say they are a lovely model and from what others have said they're excellent runners.

All the best, Neil.
