Bachmann incoming - January 2018

Has the Colas 70 been dropped from the range or something? They were due last year, but kept getting pushed back each month that they were due for release. Last bit of info said here in January, and it's now February. What gives?

I’m not sure that makes sense. May be sold out to retailers but have they preseold everyone then ?

Retailers probably won’t have pre-sold them all, but how would Bachmann know that? If Bachmann cannot supply the loco, then better to omit it than risk people being disappointed. The catalogue is supposed to be valid for a year after all.

I guess if the retailer was asking for more then that would be an indication. Lots of outlets are still taking preorders so I'm sure there are plenty left...

its not in the catalog as it is sold out at Bachmann it is on its way

But surely as it's now a 2018 release, it would be included in the current catalogue whether or not it's sold out at Bachmann? If it's not in the catalogue, that speaks to me that it's no longer being produced.

Hopefully I'm wrong!

The Colas 37 & 70 are not in the 2018 catalogue as it has sold out at Bachmann. Quote from Dennis Lovett on http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/130437-Bachmann-class-37-merl-evans-colas-rail/?p=3014678

Thanks for proving me wrong! Dennis' comment makes sense. Not sure how I missed it, as I have 37099 on order as well.

Would still be nice to have a definative arrival date for the Colas 70.

Ordered yesterday as well as 66711. Can’t wait for it to arrive. I paid for next day delivery so hoping it will be here tomorrow. Really tempted by the maritime one!!

Hmm, so a loco that hasn’t been made yet has sold out to retailers. Surely a case for a rerun if it’s that popular.

I’m encouraged that this colas stuff is so popular because I’d imagine a lot of the excitement for this stuff comes from younger modellers

Arrived today, very nice looking loco. My neighbor has the limited addition version on order, will be interested to see them against each other.

Its happened before; the MR half-cab 0-6-0T wasn't in the catalogue the year it came out as it was sold out in advance of production.

For some strange reason, I like the look of that, seems to suit the BR Green and late logo.

Late delivery from Bachmann class 47209 Railfreight distribution due February because I thought class 47209 would be arrived late January

That was the N gauge version I believe.

Don't think so. The image of 47209 in Andy's original post in this thread showed an OO NEM coupling not the N gauge rapido thing.

Just had a look on Bachmanns website and the 47s have no ETA date and are showing out of stock! Possible quality issue?

What on earth makes you say that ???????????

Unlikely. Models are often shown as Out of Stock when they have arrived but have not yet been distributed to retailers. I presume it just means the stock hasn’t been checked so Bachmann doesn’t know if there are any more available for retailers to order.
