Blimey Rich. You’ve managed to make a Voyager look almost romantic with that shot! 😄

Thanks Nick. Must say I'm impressed with how it came out, considering I just poked the phone through the railings on the bridge!

Yep.  Definitely a very very good idea.

This isn’t the most artistic photo of a DMU you’ll ever see but hope you guys appreciate it. My Dad took it at Ilkley station in West Yorkshire in April 1980. That’s me in the blue aged 4 trying to get a good look in the driver’s cab.

The Metro-Cammell Class 101s were one of the most common types on the line in the 1980s along with the Class 108s.

Is that taken from the multi storey car park in Lincoln?

Yes, shortly before the remodelling and resignalling which led to demise of thr semaphores... (May 2007)

5 months later it looked like this, with the single slip now a diamond, and parts laid for the new cross-over.

Then just over a year later it was completed, with signalling controlled from West Holmes.

Trying to keep the photos OT and note that the second on isn't taken from the top floor....

That’s an incredible shot. Best on this feed so far in my opinion. So atmospheric.
