Andrew P
Inspired by what we'd seen, (see GCR pics on previous page) it was PLAY TIME with another coffee and bickies. I really REALLY do need to do some weathering pretty soon. First up, 64XX No 6439. Edited January 13, 2019 by Andrew P

I am there this year with Mutton, one of seven exhibitions this year. Having never exhibited until Jan 2016, things seem to have taken off somewhat. I look forward to seeing you there. tigerburnie
Nice video Andy, I used to go to the GC at Loughboro' in the very early days, they asked me to join the engineering crew, but I lived just too far away and work got in the way too. Andrew P
Nice video Andy glad you had nice day out with Jeff and chilled out for a while ... Cheers George, Glad you've found the Bala Town thread at last, and glad you like the very short Video. Yes it was a shame you couldn't join us, or us come up your way, but maybe we can arrange that soon.
RMweb Premium Bogie Posted January 15, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 15, 2019 Nice video and dare I say it, but doesn't that loco look grand without any weathering. Each to their own I hasten to add.
pwr
Enjoyed the video - now I want a model! Interesting that the GCR uses modern flashing electric red lamps rather than the traditional oil. Bu tthen I guess preservation is always a compromise. I could go on about B4 bogies on a carmine and cream liveried MK1, unrealisitic Pulman painted Mk1............. But hey its the sort of compromise many of us make on our own layout. I can live with it - thanks for posting Paul R

hartleymartin
One small change this evening, I have done away with the Dairy. the Low Relief Building against Rural Landscape looked a bit naff. BALA TOWN (2).png Perhaps a loco servicing siding instead? I just get the sense that the layout would seem a bit bare at that end of the layout, what with the station and goods facilities up at the other end. Andrew P
Thank you for the above posts. Just to let you know that I will be away from here for a while, whilst sorting out some personal issues that are none Railway related. I would also appreciated NO COMMENTS / POST'S / PM's etc on here, so this does NOT go off Topic, I will also be signing out so will not be able to see PM's anyway. It may only be a matter of a few more days, or it could be several Months. Thanks, Andy
