I'm guessing 7mm, given it's posted in '7mm+ modelling '

Certainly LNER origin, both body and chassis.

Nothing similar in either the Parkside or Slaters ranges.

Is it plastic, brass, whitemetal??

Yes it looks like it is a LNER 12 Ton Corrugated van .

Thanks to all for that, BTW did these last into BR days and on the Southern region anyone ?

Many pre-Nationalisation fitted van types lasted well into the 1970s and would have worked across the network.

Paul Bartlett's website has photos of that type of wagon, including one at Staines in the mid-60s.

Just out of interest, I know it isn’t what you meant but I’m interested in the origin. Is the body plastic? If so looks like a Freightman. These usually had a white metal ABS underframe but hard to tell if yours is metal or plastic. Either way it’s got added detail such as safety loops tho.

I seem to remember reading that someone had bought up the old Freightman range and planned to re-introduce it but that was some time ago and I've heard nothing since.  Does anyone remember who it was?

Ray.

Could it have been ABS?

If so, or if whoever it was would need ABS whitemetal underframes, there's little hope of reintroduction, unfortunately.

John Isherwood.

Thanks to all

The body is plastic and It appears to have whitemetal underframes but no identifying logo...

If anyone is interested I could post underframe detail.

ciao
