Bourton on the Water

I've got the blue version of the gangway fitted DPU. Be careful when handling as the side windows are fitted quite loosely and have a tendency to come out if pressed too hard accidentally. I may have had a dud one but its worth bearing in mind. Its just its a hassle to take it apart to re-fix!

Because I impulse purchased my schools class, I cancelled my sound fitted 122. I have since reordered it without sound, so will be something to play with on my set track oval for now. A whole train in one coach

Hi Ian,

As previously mentioned mine is on order but I think I will cancel the sound fitted one for a DCC ready version.

I think a filthyish 122 rolling into Hither Green would look good using the Rule 1!

122 was used as a road leaner for Bedford drivers between Blackfriars and Orpington and Sevenoaks

Ok thanks for that just been watching a video on you tube with a class 58021 Hither Green. I liked the 58’s and hope either Dapol or Heljan will model it in O gauge... fingers crossed.

Please let it be Dapol. I'll be able to buy more!

Started to weather the class 50 alas not up to Ian’s standard.

Doing this with spray can does not have the accuracy of an airbrush and for my birthday as previously mentioned I want a iwata airbrush.

Iv looked at the iwata eclipse that looks quite a good one so will do some more research.

Thanks Andy, Ian, think I now know the limitations of a rattle can and will treat myself.

Would welcome guidance and recommendations for the airbrush and compressor.

I use a Sparmax airbrush run on a compressor via an integrated airtank. Can't remember who made the compressor but it came as a pack from a specialist airbrush supplier in the UK. I went for the Sparmax as it has a trigger lever handle rather than a button type. I like the control i get. The whole shebang was about £170 i think?

Cheers

This is like the one that I have and the Air Brush set was about £15 with 3 different needles and the Compressor about £80. If its only for weathering it is ideal. Check out, Everything Airbrush at Bournemouth.

Steve Bell from Railtec made up some white lining for me to correct the issue on the revised NSE class 50.

Hi only came across this today, is this something he sells from the range or just something he did for you do you know?
