This set contains a four car HST complete with a head and tail unit and two coaches. The Network Rail New Measurement Train travels the length and breadth of the country and is very popular with enthusiasts and the general public alike. This train pack contains 43014 ‘The Railway Observer’ and 43062 ‘John Armitt’ providing the power, with Conference Coach 975814 and Track Recording Coach 977994 making up the consist. No new tooling has been produced in order to represent the coaches but clever use of tampo printing will ensure an atmospheric representation of the train. FEATURES All wheel pick up Directional Light New design motor for smooth running Detailed body with many fitted items Accessory bag with spares and optional detail parts Cast wheels with fine relief and appropriate colouring Coaches can be be fitted with Dapol plug-in lighting bars GM2210303 Class 43 HST 43014/062 Network Rail New Measurement Train Network Rail Track Cleaning Vehicle This is the renowned Tomytec Track Cleaning vehicle with a modern twist. It needs to be hauled by a locomotive as the often described ‘motorised’ element of this item reflects the motor driving the cleaning heads and not the movement of the model. It works by the track cleaning vehicle supplying a small amount of cleaning fluid and then polishing the rails with the rotating pads. A full range of spares and fluids are available in the Dapol range. Please note that Track Cleaning Fluid is not supplied with the model. So, all in all, it's the same as the hugely successful Dapol OO Scale version, but in N! Bomag
I would have preferred the coaches to be separate from the power cars; I already have a pair of NMT powercars and while I would like the B/G and ICS power car, I don't need fGWR coaches. Otherwise good choices.

Vonzack
I made a similar request on the Dapol Digest for the NMT coaches, but with the Gaugemaster announcement, I would say the prospect of Dapol doing them may be further away.
Steadfast
The Intercity pair could save me some resprays, so really excited to see these announced. I've been stocking up on cheap HSTs when I see them. However, can I trust Dapol's livery application? They vary from the sublime (GWR and GNER HSTs) to some really rather crude applications, with poor typeface matches, obvious mistakes and frankly awful etched nameplates. Inconsistency I guess is the issue in my mind. Think I'll need to see production samples before I decide whether to buy or paint my own pair. Steadfast
Hi @Gaugemaster Controls I see Hattons have posted some reasonable quality pics of the upcoming GWR Intercity power cars from yourselves. https://www.hattons.co.uk/526178/gaugemaster_collection_gm2210302_class_43_hst_4_car_book_set_gwr_final_days_with_43002_in_br_blue_and_43185_in_in/stockdetail.aspx Is there still time to provide you with feedback on the liveries or is it too late and they're now approved and in production? Many thanks Jo
Gaugemaster Controls
We've received painted samples of our upcoming N Scale Network Rail HST Measurement Train in the Gaugemaster Collection. A few final tweaks are needed before production, but we think it looks great!
MGR Hooper!
I've reluctantly cancelled my order for GM2210302 GWR Final Day's Celebrity set. Was let down by the fact that both GM and Dapol refused to take onboard any feedback regarding the black masking around the headlights. The model has it all wrong. People contacted both GM and Dapol regarding the error when painted samples were shown. Neither Dapol nor GM bothered to reply even though the saw the messages. Thankfully there's other Dapol HSTs to be had in special liveries and I have instead gone for Dapol/RoS 2D-019-203 LNER HST "NRM 40".

RMweb Premium njee20 Posted December 1, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 1, 2020 The black is rather more symmetrical on the model than the prototype, which tapers out more at the top, but I’m struggling to be too offended by that. What is so catastrophically wrong about it? 1

Hey ho, your loss! I've explained the error in my post and your quoted post shows exactly how bad the black masking around the headlight is. So you've proved my point about the error. And no where have I said that the prototype was wrong. I clearly said that the black masking around the headlights is the issue. It's something Dapol have struggled with even on the First Great Western sets where the yellow warning panel was done incorrectly.

packetlos
Certainly enough space in the corridor end. Speaker pads on the PCB.
