Can anyone tell us what 1V45 and 1N27 were please?

in 1966 1V45 was to Cardiff from Newcastle

and this was 1N27 in 1967, a down express diverted from the ECML, heading for Newcastle more than likely.

D15 duly ordered.

As this image have been posted elsewhere (my copyright) for completeness sake I’ll post it again in this thread. D15 at Temple Meads in 1970.
it looks like this image have been used in the prep for the model (same headcode, Holbeck on the buffers), do I get a discount :)

Of great personal interest to me as In the photo, the guy closest to the camera is I’m 99% sure my grandfather, who was a fitter at Bath road at the time.

As promised, here is the video promoting our exclusive versions, but also some nice footage of the models taking a spin around one of our customers layouts. Please note layout is still under construction, but we still think it's rather impressive!

In looking at the TMC rotating images above, it appears the Derby builders plates are both on the side at the B end of the locomotive.  I am correct in thinking that the plates should be located below the driver's window on each side?

That would put one plate on the A end and one plate on the B end.

All the photos I have looked at so far confirm what you say…. Suspect that pesky inspection cover causes confusion. Had better go and examine all my other peaks, bet some of them are wrong too and that’s self inflicted…..

And here’s progress with D15 …. Now with rear sand boxes, screw link couplings and wire coupling loops. A thin wash of dirt applied to nose ends and body side grilles …. Will get some more weathering once inside jobs… chip and speaker, headcodes and crew …. Are done. Waiting for crew from Modelu.

Hoped the wash would enhance the nose doors a bit, it does depend on the lighting.

All work now done except for headcodes. Glazing seems to push inwards but light boxes inside are very well attached…. Might risk damage removing them so leaving alone for the moment.

Lovely Phil, I haven’t unboxed my D15 yet. Noticed from your photos that they’ve omitted the front door hinges too. It does look like it needs some weathering to enhance the door boundaries. I think the hinges would enhance them too.

Took my D13 down to the local club again last night. Thought I'd try the magnetic wand thingy to switch off the cab lights. Every time the loco was stopped and re-started, the perishing lights came on again. Grrrrr 😠. Has anyone sorted out a way of turning the cab lights off completely? (I'm talking analogue btw).
