RMweb Premium newbryford Posted June 22, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 22, 2022 AFAIAA, the 6 (?) yellow SPAs saw virtually zero - if any - use until they were converted to ploughs. But other SPAs have been used on Network Rail IM trains to carry various items. However, I haven't seen any recently on the daily train that passes me.

What livery were they in and how long ago would you say you last saw some?

Battered/rusty Railfreight red and EWS maroon - 2/3 years ago? Maybe more. Edited June 22, 2022 by newbryford

Railfreight1998
Last saw them in a possession train in August last year, definitely not the remaining ones' usual traffic though. 29/8/21 About 9 in this train behind the Coalfish returning to Millerhill from Inverurie. They had been loaded with steel sleepers to the worksite.

Fat Controller
These wagons weren't used to transport short lengths of scrap rail from Whitemoor to Aldwarke/ Stocksbridge, were they?
