RMweb Gold Darius43 Posted July 25, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 25, 2022 3D printed OO gauge kit by CMAC models (m0rris of RMWeb). You get single piece body shells, under frame/chassis and bogies. Fox Transfers do some nice decals. Cheers Darius
Ragtag
I have a pair of these to do as well, though haven't made a start yet. Currently pondering the best way to motorise it. Edited July 26, 2022 by Ragtag

Currently pondering the best way to motorise it. Replica Railways chassis. There was a time a few years ago when Bachmann were selling off reconditioned 350 sets for next to nothing, this would donate everything you need here, even the pantograph
RMweb Gold Darius43 Posted July 26, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted July 26, 2022 Contoured 3D printing effect on the cab roof (right) sanded and smoothed down and re-primed (left). Bogie bearing holes drilled out to accept cylindrical brass bearings. Once “balanced” the bearings are superglued in place. 10mm dia. wheels fitted. The quality of the printed body shells is very good. The cab roof is the only cleaning up really needed. Cheers Darius
RMweb Gold Darius43 Posted July 26, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted July 26, 2022 Basic painting of driving and trailer coach completed. The chassis and bogies have been loosely fitted. Spacers/washers will be required to level the bogies and prevent the wheel flanges from scraping the chassis floor. 10

RMweb Gold Darius43 Posted July 28, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted July 28, 2022 Motor coach chassis modified using plasticard to accommodate a Hornby motor bogie and the 3D printed trailing bogie. Unfortunately after these photos were taken the trailing bogie rolled off the workbench and shattered on hitting the floor. Whatever the material the bogie is made of it won’t take superglue or epoxy. I have PM’d m0rris to see if I can obtain a replacement bogie. Benjamin Brady
Really good job, excellent, I do not have the 3d prints but have been working on a conversion. This is really well done though, what did you use for your glazing? Cheers Edited July 30, 2022 by Benjamin Brady

These were trimmed to fit and secured with small dabs of superglue applied using a length of 0.3mm dia. brass wire. The cab door windows were cut from the same sheet as upper and lower “halves” that were then overlap-glued together. Kelly
That looks rather lovely. I came across the kit on eBay and was intrigued by it as I'd not seen anything about it previously (I've rather been in an internet and model railway black hole since February when I broke my leg and ankle). They scrub up nicely. I might have to order one at some point.
