RMweb Premium cessna152towser Posted November 17, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 17, 2022 I always enjoy bringing out the magnifying glass to read the small print on 00 wagon solebars. Usually works plates, repairs instructions etc. I noticed that my Hornby Barkby Jolliffe 8-plank end tipper has a small plate on both sides with the main words "Lemon Creative" and smaller print above or below which I would want to study in brighter light. I googled Lemon Creative and discovered they are a graphics design company which does artwork for Hornby packaging. Has anyone else found this on a Hornby wagon and would care to comment? 1 2 1

1andrew1
Lol. I guess that was meant to be holding text pending the real wording? 1

Cock-up or easter egg, that is the question. I'll be getting my magnifier out at the weekend ;-)
RMweb Premium cessna152towser Posted November 18, 2022 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 18, 2022 (edited) I had another go at deciphering the small print in the daylight. I think it says "Produced by Bob Watt LEMON CREATIVE Assistant to Jonathan Case". I have absolutely no idea why the picture always rotates sideways when I try to upload it. RMweb Premium Hilux5972 Posted November 19, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 19, 2022 Well considering that’s one of the older mouldings with the huge couplings, I wouldn’t worry about word accuracy lol
RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted November 19, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 19, 2022 That is the sort of anomaly which could turn it into a rare collectors piece!??
Jenny Emily
One of the HTO hoppers has ‘good luck reading this’ or similar on one plate if you view under close magnification. 2
RMweb Gold Enterprisingwestern Posted November 19, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 19, 2022 This is all well and good, but are the rivets the right size? Mike.

Great bit of kit. Always wanted one as a kid. Jason
