stivesnick
Wow! Difficult to count accurately but perhaps 100 locos or more. Expensive to model. Would be worth being there at the end of the strike to see them all move off again. I wonder how many trains and how many light engine movements to pick up trains left elsewhere. woodenhead
That's not a strike image I don't think. UP store a lot of locos up in the North Yard at Salt Lake. This is the beginning of three lines of locos together, another one starts later: There are four long lines of locos in the image below: However, such an occurrence was a typical Sunday at Penistone back in the 1970s 😆 Edited December 4, 2022 by woodenhead 2

mdvle
The potential rail strike would have happened sometime on/after December 9th with the US Government moving to prevent the strike from even starting. Sadly the imposed settlement didn't include paid sick days as that amendment was blocked https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-63829123

UP has been storing locos here for years.

I travel to Salt Lake City quite a bit with my job as a professional truck driver. Wendell Idaho, USA 1
