No the VTG variant is different (it’s the same prototype but was modified), I thought they were more a 2000s thing though.

This is what I am referring to: https://flic.kr/p/dSg49h

thi

2011 is the date stamp on my pic.

However a late 90s enterprise example is absolutely what I'm after anyway so thanks for posting that, and I guess a transaction with Rails is in order!

Fox etc will do me some CAIB decals?

C6T.

Here's what I did with my Tiger - Nacco one...

Before and after.

What approach did you use for the white weathering?  very convincing.   edit: I should also add, I assume the printed branding came off without too much difficulty?  bodes well for removing the Nacco/Tiger branding from my grey example once I finally get round to ordering it.

Branding came off very easily with IPA.

Have a look on my layout thread in my signature, everything I used is listed there.

I forgot in my layout thread to mention which paints I used for the airbrushing. It was these...

  • 1 year later...

Have these models ever been done in this livery?

I'm trying to figure out if it's an earlier livery that the traffic services or a transition to/from it.

That's a different type of wagon in that image; one of the Belgian registered versions.

Paul , do you have the drawing?

Hi

I used the ones from the diagram books on the Barrowmore website for the basic dimensions

http://www.barrowmoremrg.co.uk/BRBDocuments/Book_03_Issue.pdf

page 30

http://www.barrowmoremrg.co.uk/BRBDocuments/Book340Dugdale01_Issue.pdf

page 107

http://www.barrowmoremrg.co.uk/BRBDocuments/Book340Dugdale02.pdf
page 124

I also used the photos on Paul Bartletts website for the details

Cheers

Can also be done in OO with cut and shut of the European shorties using Barrowmore page to get dims right, though I never finished underframe or bogies. I painted Grey TSL livery at the time as no transfers then.

I'm certainly no mega scratch or kit builder and it wasn’t as hard as I feared, was lucky in finding 2 cheap ones on eBay.
