I saw the Specials play for the first time in 1979 at Bury St Edmunds, Gangsters had just been released. Very sad news last night, RIP Terry your contribution to the music I like has been wonderful , Thank You.

We saw them play in Coventry cathedral ruins a few years ago and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to - Terry Hall RIP

Double Jay, the yoof arm of our public broadcaster,  flogged the Specials right  from their first release, but we  had to wait til 2009 for their first Australian tour (minus Jerry Dammers).

 

Live at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, forgotten by then how many great songs they had, just one after another.
