EasternO
Great news. I keep missing these events you put on. One question that has always troubled me when I see these lists; what is the difference between a trader and manufacturer in your list? A lot of the traders actually manufacture products, not just trade other manufacturers' items. There's probably only 4 or 5 'traders' in your traders list. The rest are manufacturers of their own products. Not a criticism, a genuine enquiry. Cheers.

D6775
A week today we'll be thinking about breaking down the show on the Sunday afternoon. All the hard work and prep will be just about over for another year! Looking forward to seeing lots of new and familiar faces. Just a couple of updates: West Hill Wagon Works have unfortunately had to pull out for this year, we hope to see them next year all being well. Footplate Models of Kidderminster will now be at MIOG 2023 showcasing their 7mm Snow Ploughs amongst other things. We have a card machine for catering, but we will still be cash on the door this year. Lastly, here is this years bus timetable:

RMweb Gold big jim Posted March 26, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 26, 2023 Made it to the show this afternoon after going to Macclesfield show, obviously O gauge isn’t my thing but worth a look as. It’s on my doorstep nice little show, spoke to @Nick G and @37114 and @D6775 amongst others, nice layouts on show from little shunting planks to full on sprawling set ups added bonus of the outside exhibits, when I arrived the visiting locos had been remarshalled and were about to leave so got a few pics of those (see my in work thread)

I did have a French Layout and 1960's Hydralic layout but they had to drop out, thankfully I had a couple up my sleave. See what we can do for next year! D6775
Now everything is back where it belongs I have had time to sit and look at the few photo's that I managed to take over the weekend. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success, especially the visitors over the two days. Firstly, just some of the team that made this weekend happen: A couple of my loco's at rest on Grangemouth. The light on Allerby a couple of times was fantastic. And finally the mainline exhibits from our good friends at LSL and DRS.

I have to come clean - Bakewell Street was booked to appear with BR(WR) green hydraulics but a combination of a flooded garage (aka layout storage area and work bench) and difficult "family" stuff meant that MIOG was impractical. My thanks to the organisers for their understanding attitude. I did however manage a short visit on Sunday and had a great time. Thank you.
