This weekend there is IndyCar from World Wide Technology Raceway (formerly known as Gateway International Raceway and Gateway Motorsports Park) near St. Louis, IMSA from Virginia International Raceway, NASCAR from Daytona, and BTCC from Donington Park (and they are racing on the Grand Prix circuit for the first since 2002).

Thanks, useful info.

I see the IMSA race is live on Viaplay Xtra channel; they’d been showing the season until recently, but the scheduled coverage disappeared without trace. The most recent couple of races weren’t shown at all, but now it’s back (subject to any last-minute changes of schedule).

This weekend there is the Acropolis Rally (the Greek round of the WRC), WEC from Fuji, DTM from the Sachsenring, IndyCar from Laguna Seca (the final round of the season), MotoGP from Misano, British GT from Brands Hatch, and the Goodwood Revival.

WRC is struggling in Greece due to the appalling weather, shakedown has been cancelled

Being obsessed with the old ‘Top Gear Rally Report’ each year and buying the Duke videos of the seasons before we had wide tv coverage helped a lot. It’s the drivers interviews in the car and just out of the car without press guides that have kept it just as interesting today. The instant access to decent footage and interviews and comment is brilliant these days. DirtFish are doing a superb job and often better than the mainstream channels.

Absolutely right, Dirtfish is a daily (usually multiple times) visit for me. Their podcast is a regular listen too. The coverage over the weekends shows the strength of the team, with previews, stage end and behind the scenes features. I also think the drivers are a bit more open with them than the official WRC coverage.

Now they have management in place again, Ott Tanak is returning to Hyundai next year.

With Toyota expected to retain the line up, could be an interesting line up at Ford, with a selection of younger drivers like they had to do a few years ago, unless Lappi decides he doesn't want to risk sharing a car with Suninen. His commitment to a full season was made before Tanak returned to Alzenau.  One to keep an eye on.

I have seen Marc Marquez will the leaving the works Honda team in MotoGP at the end of the season and could well be joining the satellite Ducati team, Gresini Racing.

Also, Aston Martin are using their Valkyrie supercar as the basis for a Le Mans Hypercar to race at the Le Mans 24 Hours for 2025.
