Back in February 1978 on a cold Saturday morning, we see a couple of spotters on plat 2/3 glancing over to watch 87028 arriving with the down "Clansman" to Inverness. Meanwhile, 86253, on the left, waits patiently with the 1118 to Euston. Of course, I should've pressed the shutter either a second earlier or a second later, as the front of the 87 is obscured by one of those pesky signals...
