hayfield
I was gived a K's LNER / GN Atlantic loco which had been stripped down and in bits. The chassis had been built and worked but the pistons were all over the place. Whilst testing some work on straightening the slide bars the tip of the piston rod broke off. Its now 5mm to short. Please does anyone know where I can get a replacement, preferably in brass or some other harder material. The pistons have been hacked about a bit so new ones would also be usefull but not essential. Thanks in advance
RMweb Premium Blandford1969 Posted July 5, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 5, 2010 Comet models do some very nice crossheads. If not you can buy both cross heads and slidebars from Markits. Regards
Rob Pulham
John, you can also get lost wax brass ones from Alexander models - I got some from them for my Q7.
