Wheeltappers not accessible.

Hi all

I cannot get into the Wheeltappers forum.

All I get is a an Invision message:

 

However I can get into whichever is the latest post showing on the RH side. eg. Forum Jokes or Song Title Game etc.

I cannot then backstep a level like I can from other subforums.

 

Any ideas?

Check you haven't got the Expanded view in View New Content.

It might sound dumb but what's expanded view?

It gives an overview of a topic.

 

It can be invoked by the slider switch just above the topics on the VNC page.

 

 

Make sure Condensed is highlighted. 

 

The error you've observed can be caused by a bug in ignoring a topic in that subforum. It shouldn't be related to the Expanded view but there's some correlation.

BTW I'm using WIN10 & Firefox.

It's already set to condensed and I still get the error

 

However after a very long wait Chrome eventually opened the Wheeltappers thread.

Doesn't work on my Win 10 laptop either (again Firefox)

It's an odd one (different from a fault previously noted that affected layouts). I did some further checking earlier using a permissions and settings mask for your login and couldn't replicate it. Is it worth a cookie/cache/history clearout of RMweb stuff and login afresh?

Signed out, cleared all history including cookies (but not sign ins.)

Oh Dear

It's started happening again.😒

I'm now getting the "Unavailable" window when I try to go to Wheeltappers directly.

 

Just Wheeltappers, the other threads seem OK

 

EDIT Only on the laptop this time. The desktop is still fine.🙂

I'll do some more clearing out on the laptop to see whether that helps.

A query that may or may not be related.  I don't want to make a big issue of it so I tagged it onto this Wheeltappers thread...

 

I've noticed that while the rest of RMweb loads promptly, the Early Risers thread within Wheeltappers occasionally freezes for an appreciable number of seconds* when initially accessed.  Sometimes this also happens when making a posting that creates/moves onto a new page.

 

Is it just that ER is content heavy and/or currently has 12311 pages?

 

If there's a tweak...

 

* Its not as bad as the freeze after posting a comment to a Recent Status Update!

It's a never-resolved bug. Although it looks like it hasn't posted, it has.

I know. Where RSUs are concerned, if commenting, I open in a new tab, post, then go back to the previous tab just to check that it went through, then close the lot!
