Markeg
Hi Mick, Excellent work. Is that a Green A4 in the second picture I see going behind the tree? Mark
simon hudson
Hi mick as has been said before just caught your layout "very nice" I always enjoy your workbench threads hadn't realised the layout was like this, really enjoyed thanks for sharing-Simon
Betty's Husband
Hey Mick, absolutely loving your workbench and layout threads. I am really impressed with what you have been able to do with 10’ x 8’, I have been able to cajole myself the same sized area for a layout and I was wondering what radius your curves are that allows you to run Gresley pacifics. For the Hornby models do you have the flanged or unflanged trailing wheel fitted? Thanks!
micklner
Yes its a Green A4 Kingfisher she on my workbench thread quite a few pages back 30inch curves and no flanges on the truck. My kit ones sadly struggle to get around them cheers
Betty's Husband
Nice one thanks Mick, keep up the good work!
Markeg
Thanks Mick, RE: Hornby A4 (&A3) trailing pony/truck wheels. I have a layout 15' x 8' with outside radius curves at 900mm, just under 3' and tried the flanged wheels, but found they were still a little tight, whereas a Bachmann A1 & A2 system works very well, only if Hornby did the same. Torn-on-the-platform
Lovely layout. Can't believe I hadn't seen it before! There is something very refreshing about seeing Teak and Apple green.
Silver Sidelines
Mick, very impressive. After your comments on my Blog I felt inspired to follow some of your links. Apple green was before my time but I love the Q6, reminds me of a misspent youth on Teesside. Long suffering wives are to be recommended. Focalplane
Just discovered your layout after your post on Wright writes this weekend. I like the way it has slowly but consistently advanced with no apparent desire from you to scrap it all and start over again. Very inspirational!
