carl1967
with the white dods on the floor it looks like the 1st startreck the lights look to bright almost like spot lights can you make the leds dimer lol Yes they are to bright at the moment, but as i add more lighting they will dim, and the LEDs are getting a cote of transparent off white. So will cast a worm glow in there. And get rid off the spot light effect.

mikemeg
What a great joy this, and the previous thread, is. To watch these models being built is, in many senses, to have watched the real thing being built as raw materials form into a framework and then, with the plating of the hull and the building of the superstructure, into a ship. Finally, with the fitting out and the final painting, into a thing of extraordinary beauty. All of the superlatives for your work have been used but it is simply wonderful to watch. carl1967
hi all i have all the hull sheeted in 2 layers. i had to do this, i wanted it all to be white inside the car deck but not have light showing thought, so added black plastic card over the white. still got lots of filling and sanding to do but! getting there. i also have a 2nd ferry to do for dave(Waverley West) and will be starting her this week and opening a new post for her, its MV Glen Sannox in 4mm scale, and looks like this. thanks

carl1967
Hi all windows and back lighting. To all it looks like i am leaving the windows black, erm, No the black plastic card was put on to stop light shining though the white, the windows were cut out before i stuck them over the black, this gives the impression of the black rubber seal round the glass once cut out, then clear was added and then painted on the inside to look like curtains. the last picture has been lit with a lamp just to show light coming though the windows, its far to brite, i know! but the LED's will be just right. any comments welcome.
