Thanks for the reply. I thought you might like the following pic of us on the Boat to Ireland back in 73. It's an interior shot and looks just like the interior of your model.

This was taken in port before the stormy crossing - my parents got very ill indeed!

Apologies for duff info: re Holyhead Ferry 1: she did not sail on the Holyhead route after 1971, but her sister ship Dover did, also the "Lord Warden" was there, I tavelled on her about 1975; After 1977 a new large ship "St Columba" was the regular.

Carl

Your boats are stunning models, very inspirational and I love the fact that you paint it as you go. You must always be planning about 3 steps ahead.

Look forward to seeing more, thank you.

hi john

And this is one i am doing at the moment.

its of an F4 of Randy Cunningham and Willie Driscoll

Randy Cunningham and Willie Driscoll shot down their first North Vietnamese MiG on January 19, 1972. They scored their second MiG kill on May 08, 1972. On May 10, 1972, they became the first American fliers to qualify as Aces in the Vietnam War when they shot down three MiG's in a single action. In addition to becoming the first Vietnam Aces, the two became the first Team of Aces, the first to score a triple kill over Vietnam and the first U.S. all-missile Aces.

This picture depicts there 3rd kill on the 10th may 1972 and there last in this aircraft as themselfs were shot down by a SAM not long after the 3rd kill, they managed to fly the burning F4 inverted out over the sea before ejecting and rescued.
