Cardiff Bluebird
Hello, I have a few diesel locomotives which I'd like weathered, not overly but at least to take the factory finish off them and to add the bufferbeam pipes etc also to fit a coupler bar on the ends instead of the horried nem couplers. Could you kind souls recomend a good proffesional weathering/detialing company? Ideally with a website so I can see there work beforehand. Ive looked through the modelling magazines but cant see anything of use. Kind Regards Bluebird.

oldrocker
I met up with Grimy Times at Warley and most of his examples were A1. No website I'm afraid but if you take Hornby magazine, his work was reviewed in there last month or the month before. Can't remember which without going upstairs to look . . . . RMweb Premium Gwiwer Posted December 1, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 1, 2010 Two outfits who I have found to offer superb workmanship in this field are http://www.dirtyboyweathering.co.uk/Dirty_Boy%21/home.html and http://www.keytesmodelrailways.co.uk/ While both businesses are primarily retailers it would be worth approaching them with your needs. No commercial connection with either - satisfied customer of both.

brianthesnail96
Had a small Prarie and a couple of vans arrive from "hardjeff1" on eBay today, very impressed especially with the loco and he does do commissions at what I thought was a very good rate. Very friendly and helpful- I don't know who does the actual work but it's Claire that deals with the admin side and she's great. It even came wrapped in Christmas paper!
