Beresford Junction
Fancy doing my woodwork? As long as you don't mind waiting - I'll get round to it in 2020. Meanwhile, I've painted the plywood and fitted the 'modesty curtains' before Poppy came to inspect my handiwork.... Just off to see the Tidworth NSE crew at the Southmpton Model Railway Exhibition. Beresford Junction
Afternoon all, A rainy summers day, with me in the UK for a change meant I could go and do some work at the Junction.... Today's good idea is a bit of terraforming with some spare cardboard I found lying about. First some timber added to the edge (and yes it's a bit messy on the layout, but I'm in the process of moving other stuff about so had to put all the boxes somewhere) Then the cardboard was stapled in place And hey presto. And here is the overhead shot Next I'll layer over some kitchen roll and flue down before painting / sprinkling on the green scenic stuff. See you again in another six months..... Beresford Junction
A quick visual test after starting to sprinkle the greenery. And with the whole embankment covered now. All I need is a bit of fencing, and the obligatory sheep and job done. Phil

Beresford Junction
Another rainy weekend so cracked on with the hills. I'm still waiting for some more green foliage/grass do decided to turn one into a virtual quarry. Not very visible from the photos. I have found the sheep and sheep dog, but can't find the fencing amongst all the 'stuff' I seem to have accumulated. Phil

Melangoose
Phil I like that grass bank that you've done, some nice modelling (and the pic of the FGW HST with a Paddington service). Glad that you are keeping your hand in between working abroad. Regards Nigel
Beresford Junction
Thanks all for the comments. The good news is a new delivery of green dust has arrived. First the glue Now the greenery And a bit more HST action. Phil

Beresford Junction
Good news is that I'm back from my hols and managed to grab some time to start the fencing in of the sheep before they caused too much chaos - the longest time spent was finding the box with the Ratio fencing.... I need to finish off the posts then thread with the secret 'invisible thread'. Phil
class"66"
More nice scenery done here Phil.. cheers neil.
Beresford Junction
Evening all The fence is now finished, well as much as I can be bothered to do after spending an hour threading invisible nylon thread through tiny holes....... At least it'll keep the sheep off the track. Phil
Beresford Junction
Quick update on yet more hills / greenery. Timber added and then cardboard / kitchen roll and then glue / greenery. I'm still experimenting with the blend of colours / bushes. And while I was busy with glue and green dust the mini-Beresfords had some fun - it's going to take ages for me to clear up! Next think I need to decide on is how to finish the other end - I'm thinking a false tunnel. Phil

Beresford Junction
A bit of platform building today. First I recycled a platform I had built for a different area and never used - it is made from an off-cut of chipboard with Metcalfe paving stuck on top. I've glued them down with pva as I found that the self-adhesive on the back isn't that sticky - perhaps the humidity in the cellar. Anyway I secured with some big screws which I then paved over - perhaps I should have left them as manhole covers? Once that was all done, I used my other modelling staple - cat food boxes - for the walls, and used my trusty staple gun to attach them. A few accessories and hey-presto.
Beresford Junction
A bit more platform action today. And obviously some cat food box was used for the wall structure (to be clad later). I'm hoping to get it finished before I start my travels again.
