coachmann
A nice layout of Hasland Shed with a couple of Garratts here www.wingfieldrailwaygroup.co.uk . Rather a nice shed and layout there. I'll bet those photos will result in a few more orders for Garratts shooting off to Hattons!
RMweb Premium mirreles31 Posted August 20, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 20, 2011 Yeh, inspiring stuff, I found a pic a Garratt at Sheff Vic, but it was Gresley's giant!! There's still a chance that an LMS one might have turned up at Woodhouse Junction from Hasland as there were exchange sidings there, any excuse to have one of these iconic locos!! Cheers Phil. RMweb Premium Sidecar Racer Posted August 21, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 21, 2011 I have a horrible feeling that one of these may yet be seen on GWR metals , purely as part of a one off set of exchange trials . Or maybee just because I like the thing .

RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted August 21, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 21, 2011 :sorry: And to make such temptation even worse 'The Fallen Madonna With The Big B**bies' did go for a (small) profit when I sold her at auction a few weeks back despite Catherine Southern's views when she saw it at a 'Flog It' viewing earlier this year. RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted August 21, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 21, 2011 :scratchhead: Or putting it another way the cheque I've got in exchange for 'The Fallen Madonna With The The Big B**bies' would more than cover the cost of one (for those who were not fans of 'Allo Allo' on BBC1 - http://en.wikipedia...._Fallen_Madonna )
APOLLO
Some nice colour photos of various Rhodesian Garratts in Sep 2011 "Continental Modeller" - 3 pages worth. Taken in 1992, all working, some on passenger trains, All in "weathered" condition. Don't think these got as far north as Bristol though !!
