Looks like Mark (46444) has already bagged my British choice so I'd go for an American: an Alco RSD4/5 and a German: a BR44 - a three cylinder 2-10-0 beast! Then again, I do love the Alco C-628 high hood (got to be C&NW!) and a Bavarian S3/6 lined green pacific! Or, there's always.......... Cheers, John E.
