Grovenor
And somewhat intriguing that they produced 93 models of 12 prototypes and gave them 'unique' numbers. So I assume the 12 with correct numbers are hence rarer than the 81 with incorrect numbers, its not clear which group this belongs in. Keith

Can't remember, but I was searching for the Marklin pig locomotive when I came across it.
Ragtag
The Network Rail BG fetched £120 in the end £141.43 for the more modified one. Crackers.

lordhinton
i dont get this one, why would you only want 1 43 not 2? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-HST-Network-Rail-Hayabusa-and-MK3-tender-coach-/320744524096?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item4aaddd0940#ht_692wt_1139
RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted August 23, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 23, 2011 i dont get this one, why would you only want 1 43 not 2? http://www.ebay.co.u...0#ht_692wt_1139 I think you'll find only 43089 has Hitachi branding/gubbins inside. The other 3 yellow power cars are slightly plainer (IIRC 43013/43014/43062) Not sure if 43089 has any external mods as compared with the others. John Mc
A refreshing case of the description bearing much more resemblance to reality than the item http://www.ebay.co.u...pcats=1&_sop=10 In other hands this could easily have merited a l@@k or "RARE", if not, admittedly, a "would be a fine addittion to any layout" John Mc

Bernard Lamb
John Which item are you refering to? The link leads to a list of items. My guess would be the autocoach. Refreshingly honest. Not that bad actually if you can cast your mind back to that period. Bernard
RMweb Gold Re6/6 Posted August 24, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 24, 2011 On a more mundane note, this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290599291118?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 can still be bought new for £12 + £2p&p! RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted August 24, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 24, 2011 I think I know a little bit about Southern steam, so this class description has me a bit puzzled. Is he confusing the loco with some sort of '80s popular beat combo - or the late Gary Powers? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DJH-CLASS-U2-LOCO-KIT-/150653096706?_trksid=p3286.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D2282618099012227298
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted August 24, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 24, 2011 My pet peeve on ebay is the seller, like this one in Cheshire, who circumvents all my carefully prepared searches by including a line like this : Compatible with Roco, Hornby, Bachmann, Airfix, Fleischmann, Lima, Jouef, Rivarossi, Mehano, Liliput, Herpa, Marklin 2 rail, Wiking, Heljan, Heki, Brawa, Sommerfeldt, Piko, Wills, Ratio, Faller, Woodland Scenics, Kibri, Busch, Sachsenmodelle, Knightwing, etc. SBB CFF FFS, DB, DB AG, OBB, FS, NS, DSB, SNCB, SNCF, CFL and ÖBB. I have come across this in less extreme forms where the seller says "Not Lima, Hornby, Bachmann" etc, but this ###### takes the biscuit.
