The utility van is almost done now just need to see to the window bars

Hi George,

I don't know if this helps but here's a couple of pictures of the window bars of a very similar SR GUV I snapped at Betws-y-Coed last weekend.

Appropriately, this GUV has a model railway in it :-)

Lucky you, that wasn't open last time I was there, it had closed up for the winter I was told.

Correct Mate l have some red paint left over from the trolley bus l know its a bit bright, but it will have a heavy weathering applied so  it should tone it down a tad....

I like the sound of that, you could then fit a Pantagraph, to make it and Electric Steam Kettle   hahha :sungum:  :sungum:

Off the workbench at last is my Southern style utility van made out of two Parkside 12t vans, l have had  for a while and both kits had bits missing luckily the sides, ends & roofs were there, l have painted it with Railmatch Stock green (1314) and it looks fine to me, just need to find some transfers now to finish, the windows are three lines painted on clear plasticard with a Bow/lining pen...

Hello Ray, Not bad kits for £30 each, nice brass clean castings not as easy as l thought but l got there in the end the first is a Catfish and the next will be a Dogfish, as l want to make a ballast train up l already have three Grampus to make yet and then l guess l will need a Shark ?

Hi George,

The M&M dogfish was the 2nd wagon I built a couple of years ago, so the build quality wasn't brilliant, but I think the top of the hopper should be folded over?

Regards,

Richards

The J94 looked OK in BR Black but l thought it would look much better in red? and owned by a private company, still plenty to add like lining etc etc, it is in ex-works at the moment, and very shiny but a nice heavy layer of weathering will sort that out...
