trent
Hi guys Anyone out there fitted DCC to a 66522 Freightliner/Shanks 32-726Z? I'm looking to buy one and just wondered if it's an 8 or 21 pin chassis? Thanks Martin
Tase
It's a sound equipped loco so will have DCC already installed as far as I'm aware Martin.
reevesthecat
If the OP is asking about the origional kernow ltd edition one it was one of the first released so I think it may be 8 pin, Bachmann released a sound equipped weathered version later (to a big debate)! mark
trent
Thanks for the replies guys. The sound version has a different catalogue number so yes I'm refering to the KMRC release. Anyone out there actually have one and fitted DCC? This will obviously confirm whether it's 8 or 21pin! Cheers Martin
saizei
the KMRC is a 8 pin version, Gary

RMweb Premium newbryford Posted July 16, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 16, 2012 I've fitted sound to a Kernow 66522 - well before the advent of factory fitted sound. They were all 8-pin installations. Cheers, Mick
trent
Thanks for confirmation Mick. Any problems with speaker fitment? Does the early chassis have the recess in the top or did you fit the speaker as recommended by legobiffoman in the fuel tanks facing down? Cheers Martin
RMweb Premium newbryford Posted July 16, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 16, 2012 Hi Martin, Fuel tank facing down is the usual fitment, unless it's a sound ready loco with the holes in the bodyshell under the roof mounted radiator grilles and chassis with the recess.
