RBE
Great work as usual Lee, really liking the 60, in the proper livery too! 56124 looks good with the laserglaze as well. Curious drivers etc though. Faces either look like upset ladies or extras from the walking dead. Not sure which!

blueeighties
A lucky phonecall to NRM Shildon resulted in one of these A very nice well thought out package. Very similar in high quality presentation I feel as the recently released Sutton class 24. Some very nice models about these days. 001 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 003 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 007 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 009 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 013 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 016 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 017 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 022 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 023 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 027 by rothburyuk, on Flickr
blueeighties
60001 Steadfast in 7mm finished. Smoke and sound fitted. I was a bit skeptical about smoke at first, but after playing with it a bit, I quite like it. Adds another dimension. 041 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 037 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 036 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Back to 4mm, the oddjob that is 37373. Rebuilt bufferbeams and modified cantrail grilles, amongst many other things. 027 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 022 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 021 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 018 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 017 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 012 by rothburyuk, on Flickr A nice grimy Scottish 26. Solebar repainted red, detailed and weathered. 011 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 005 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 47584 004 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Crew fitted and weathered tamper 032 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 029 by rothburyuk, on Flickr And finally this arrived today. The 'custom fitted' lights aren't working. Judging from the quality of the installation, I'm not surprised. Looks as though the grossly oversized led's have been fitted with a sledgehammer. 001 by rothburyuk, on Flickr
Wayne 37901
Hi Lee, Quite a nice job on Lightning. Sorry if I've missed it in a previous post but I like the effect of the roof weathering and the way the dirt comes down to cantrail level, what's your technique for that? Shame about the 73, I've heard some bad press about it, not least with the liveries and those buffers look a little on the small side as well. Cheers,

I use a combination of washes and airbrush to achieve the effect. The basic rule is rain always washes everything down the bodysides, so that's the way the brushstrokes need to go.The 73 is the Hornby model, not the new Dapol model, which does have a few issues, buy is light Years ahead of the old version. rob D2
Is the 7mm diesel smoke better than the ones I've seen ? They just look like dirty diesel is ' having a fag' !
blueeighties
Is the 7mm diesel smoke better than the ones I've seen ? They just look like dirty diesel is ' having a fag' ! Well, until someone invents a full on unit that produces black smoke they will never be fully 'clagtastic', but the ESU unit does work in conjunction with engine revs so I like it.
