  1. Hmm! Livery looks wrong on this badger. Not swallow or mainline…. and no safety yellow
  2. Love the ice effect on the yellow Br van. I feel cold just looking at it! Great work
  3. Still waiting for my Deltic to arrive 😪 just wanted to comment on how ‘hands on’ and proactive the team at Accurascale are. It is amazing how Fran and co really care about their customer base and nothing seems too much trouble. This is refreshing and great to see. They deserve every success as they are clearly passionate about their products and (even more important) their customer base. Well done guys and…. Please send my deltic soon… Jeff
  4. Visited with my 12 year old son on Saturday travelling from Leicester. His initial reaction walking in was WOW! Dad can we build something like this…. No, sorry son. Spent a good 2 hours watching and his favourite things were the scenery, trying to see the Grifter and the working sewage works. Asking him why, he said ‘it makes it interesting and real while waiting for the next train’. Thanks for bringing it out Simon. I look forward to seeing it again when you bring it out again. Amazing! jeff
  5. Hi all, just received 2 packs of these wagons. I was a bit worried about the price, spending £200 on 4 box vans. However, I am delighted with them as the models are superb. Can’t wait for my Norsk Hydro wagons. Well done RevolutiOO(N) and KMRC on a superb product. all the best jeff.
  6. Hi Phil, great work on the MoD containers. I am sat building 6 as I type this. I’m after a favour, could you let me know two things please: - what colour did you use? - have you got a photo showing the transfers on the non door side? thanks in advance jeff
  7. Just read through this thread. Very impressive work of an unusual prototype. Thanks for sharing. Jeff
  8. Congratulations on the layout as it was my favourite at the Gaugemaster event. The attention to detail on the roads was superb. How did you make the road lines so neat? Thanks, Jeff
  9. Richard, The DMU coming through the super-elevated reverse curves at 37:25 is tremendous. Can't wait to see this same view when ballasted and scenery added. Thanks for sharing. Jeff
  10. Love the ped! Is the toughened window frame an etch? If so, where from? If not, how did you achieve such realism? Thanks in advance and keep up the great work. Jeff
  11. Cheers Ian, I assume we are both talking about the purple flowering bushes you have. Horticulture is not one of my strongest subjects... Jeff
  12. Hi Ian, All looking good. A quick question for you - how have you made the rosebay willowherb? I need something for Manor Road and like how you have done it. Apologies if I have missed it earlier in the thread. Thanks Jeff
  13. Forgot to add this video of Queen Mother bringing in a rake of West Highland green and cream Mk1s Jeff
  14. Hi all, Long time no post! I have spent the last year or so retraining as a Geography teacher and spending time back at University - very weird going back to studying when you are over 40. Lots of progress has been made with Manor Road including adding a 2 foot long scenic section to include a cement unloading terminal and a road bridge which also has steps down to the platform. I have also completed stone slabs on the platforms and added lighting in buildings and along the platform. I have numerous small details to finish including bedding the cement terminal in to the ground and add suitable signs to the outside. Inside I have included an unloading platform which can unload 2 wagons at once (Knightwing kit modified) and also a high level gantry to access the tops of the wagons on the other side of the rail. Overall I am really pleased with it as it is the first building I have scratchbuilt. Also on this new extension I decided to add a bridge over the line to break up the overall visual lines of the layout. The bridge is made from a number of Wills bridge section kits joined together. The bridge also has steps down to the platform and will include a taxi rank along with bus stops - couldn't resist having a bus on the bridge as I don't think I've ever seen that before ;-) Here a few views of the bridge with 47 706 and 37 057 Viking in the background. I decided to change the building I was going to use as the station entrance. Originally I was going to use a Bachmann Scenecraft item but it didn't look right as it gave a somewhat rural feel. I decided to modify some Metcalfe shops and include an entrance between a cafe and a WHSmiths that I have detailed. I have included lights and a mirror at the rear of the entrance to give the illusion of depth. A couple of views with 47 541 Queen Mother at the buffers. Hopefully I will be able to post a bit more often now - 2 years is a bit excessive. Happy New Year! Jeff
  15. Saw Rannoch Moor at GET show today. Wow! Superb modelling and well presented. Look forward to seeing it again.
  16. One on a well known auction site http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOS-Hornby-BOMBARDIER-PRORAIL-REA-LONDON-UNDERGROUND-MATCHING-BR-BRAKE-VAN-/222604262860?hash=item33d43f7dcc:g:KXMAAOSw4GVYMEvX Jeff
  17. Looking really good with the population being added. What do you use to stick the figures to the layout? Thanks in advance. Jeff
  18. Saw the painted sample at the excellent Derby show today. I can confirm the yellow looks spot on and I will definitely be ordering one as it looks superb. £25 for the weathering seems to be an absolute steal! Bring it on.
  19. Great layout. Thanks for sharing. How have you done the road markings as they look really good? Thanks Jeff
  20. Rod, Try this company. I buy all mine from there http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/neodymium-magnets Regards Jeff
