Grimleygrid
I have been asked by my elder son to start a new thread for his layout that we are working on called Southwich. The main feature is the cement works and here is a photo to set the scene; We will provide more information later this week.

Southwich
Hi all, Here are a few photos showing the recent progress on the layout, which includes work on the platforms and station area. The bridge with the station needs lowering as it sits too high at the moment.

Southwich
Hi all, Thanks David! Thanks for the feedback HSTFAN13. In answer to your question the model chimney is 45cm high from a Walthers HO scale kit. Sorry I cannot give you the real life size. Southwich
Hi all, Over the last few days I have been doing a lot of work on the layout. This includes the lowering of the bridge, new mainline section and new track layout for the cement works. A few photos of the changes will follow and a few videos tomorrow. 60018 joins the Southwich fleet, after 60500's chip has failed. Southwich
Hi all, Thanks David! Cheers Swifty. I have not done a huge amount of work today, but the cement works and stabling point have now been wired up meaning the whole layout works. The next few jobs include the scenery on the bridge and painting/spraying the cement works. Thanks Will
