For me it's usually one of the first giveaways. Just read the 1st post about adding effects, not a sepia (not on the list for my iPad) but a transfer effect so might have broken the rules, ooops sorry! I tried a similar approach on unweathered locos and it really shows the difference weathering makes in this instance.
