RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted March 19, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 19, 2018 (edited) A pair of ex Midland locos bask in the Spring sunshine....Highbridge March 1958. Rob. In real life - a slightly different pair but the same location (I guess) in 1961 I still haven't got my wharf sidings and buildings going. Too much going on family-wise! http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/gallery/image/76386-bh04-4-4-0-2p-40563-0-6-0-3f-43216-ex-sd-no-72-at-highbridge-wharf-9-9-61/ Edited March 19, 2018 by phil_sutters
RMweb Gold NHY 581 Posted March 19, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 19, 2018 I often overlook the 2P and its involvement with the branch, Phil. May have to re dress the balance somewhat. Rob.
RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted March 19, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 19, 2018 I often overlook the 2P and its involvement with the branch, Phil. May have to re dress the balance somewhat. Rob. I get the impression that locos were sometimes just parked on the wharf towards the end of the S&D and certainly Dad has no photos of 2Ps working the Somerset Central line. There are also none on that line in the Newman Family website http://www.newman-family-tree.net/s&d/index.html, although they were a favorite class of Chris Newman. RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted March 19, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 19, 2018 A veritable blast from the past The plan is, though, that the best days of that layout are yet to come. It would help if I were to finish it.

Thanks, I do most of my work under natural balanced lighting anyway, so I rarely get surprises, but if I can get a natural daylight look over it I take the opportunity when its there.
