Apologies if this has been covered before and also if you've seen this photo on another thread.

I'm after a lamp like the one on the far right of the photo but I'm not sure if its Western or maybe just a streetlamp by the road here. It looks like its in the railway boundary. Is there anything available in model form ?

The photo is I would guess late 1950s.

Robin, do you mean the swan neck lamp?  The GWR had a standard type of those at one point. There were some available in whitemetal from Chris Leigh of this parish many years ago. I had a packet once - let me rummage through my storage boxes and check if I've sold them, can't remember.

DCC concepts also do some, but they aren't quite right in shape and quite expensive.

Thanks to everyone for the input.Further browsing and I came across these from a relatively new source.Would they be suitable and have been painted in light/dark stone instead of black.

Hi Rob, those look interesting, hadn't seem them before. They don't completely capture the hanging nature of the lamp in your photo, but it's nice that they are actually lighted. A night-time scene at Brent maybe?!

I found the Chris Leigh ones I have (distributed by Mikes Models). There are 4 of them in whitemetal. They look pretty much like the ones you found, but without the lighting option. They are perhaps not quite up to today's standards, so you might be better off with the other ones, but otherwise let me know.

They do look good......I see they come in two height options........one street level and the other for platforms.........do you think the taller ones would do outside an Engine Shed or were they exclusively for stations?

They look pretty good and, if they are made of copper (?), it may be possible to add the decorative swiggle shown in your original photograph using a bit of wire, although ignoring it may also work quite well.

I'm not sure but I used a Mikes Models yard lamp for mine.If I do buy the six I won't be using them all so one or two may end up in the classifieds on here. :)

Thanks for your offer Mikkel. We'll wait and see.
