Geoff Endacott
Layout list updated with details of 21 layouts. There will be one or two more then that's it. The first batch of traders has been added. There is room for a few (but not many) more. Some of the regulars are better at replying to my emails than others! Geoff Endacott
I like newts. One of the problems we have faced at Trainwest is the potential loss of the overflow car park on the old running track at the back of the building. It has been sold to Herman Miller so they can build a new factory. Construction should have started by now but there is a problem - newts. Building work has been put on hold until the protected newts which inhabit the site can be removed. The upshot of all this is that we might yet again have use of the space for car parking - provided that motorists don't drive over the newts. Nothing has been confirmed yet, so watch this space. I like newts. Geoff Endacott

Greengiant
Just checked on Gas cupboard website, £6 for an advanced ticket! I think that's very expensive for the show you put on! York is only £7 Glasgow £9 Bristol £5.25 Do you really believe that Train-west is in a calibre with these shows? Confused & disappointed by this 21+ layouts for £6, hardly a rip off. Look at the calibre of them, I may be slightly biased there Different venues have different costs, so comparing costs is not always easy. A couple quid in it at the most, not much in the scheme of things. I notice you registered today, welcome to the forum and perhaps take a moment to introduce yourself and your interests first as is etiquette for forums. York is only £7 Glasgow £9 Bristol £5.25 Do you really believe that Train-west is in a calibre with these shows? Confused & disappointed by this Yes. Look at the list of layouts we have coming. Quality costs money - and we only book top-quality layouts. If you are happy to see the same local layouts over and over again, please go to Bristol. You will save all of 75p. Your user name also looks rather familiar. I seem to have seen that title somewhere else... Geoff Endacott Exhibition Manager of the West of England's Quality Show! Geoff Endacott
I notice you registered today, welcome to the forum and perhaps take a moment to introduce yourself and your interests first as is etiquette for forums. Martin He has introduced himself. He is called Trainwest. He can obviously put on a much better show than I can. I wonder what it will be called? Andy Y
I wonder what it will be called? I don't think we'll find out; he's in the sin-bin now.
Geoff Endacott
I think Mr Trainwest is mistaken. The price of an advance ticket is £3. The £6 he quotes is the price of an ADULT ticket. Geoff Endacott
Geoff Endacott
The list of traders has been updated with several new additions and first time Trainwest traders. The show is normally full, but this year there was a little space available due to the retirement of Bill Mossop of M&B Models (at the age of 84) and the withdrawal for one year only of Inter-City Models due to an illness in the Tisdale family. Horselunges has withdrawn due to the owner's temporary incapacity. Watch this space for further updates. Geoff Endacott
Geoff Endacott
There are a couple of small spaces left which might be of interest to those running society stands. The rate is very reasonable (free) so please get in touch to info@bmrg.org.uk or by PM if you are interested. Geoff Endacott
Geoff Endacott
That's it - show full. Traders who now show an interest are being put onto the waiting list for next year. Layout owners who now reply are being booked for 2016 or 2017. Geoff Endacott

Geoff Endacott
We now have our replacement layout. It is the American outline N gauge layout Hamilton from High Wycombe & District MRS. That means an American N gauge layout has been replaced by an American N gauge layout which is the ideal solution. Postal ticket applications are now coming in thick and fast from as far afield as Milford Haven, Loughborough, Watford and Teignmouth. Somehow I don't think Trainwest is a local show any more!
