RMweb Premium The White Rabbit Posted March 7, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 7, 2016 For a mythological beast, it's certainly not camera-shy. Allan, can I put in a request for some birds nests? Not for soup, just as a finishing touch on the shed.

RMweb Premium Sasquatch Posted March 7, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 7, 2016 7mm mate. Hi Allan, Not been checking in as much as I'd like to! More time modeling!! There's some structures on the go here at present and I'll post them on the scratch built buildings thread as and when they're finished. Keep up the good work Shaun
allan downes
Derelict Goods Shed finished. Some close ups. The ageing process was done using wood dyes and plenty of talcum powder instead of paint and a most unlikely combination that covers a multitude of sins ! The pigeon sxxt on top of the canopy is pure talc set with several heavy cots of varnish. Just thought you'd like to know that ! Cheers. RMweb Gold Happy Hippo Posted March 8, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 8, 2016 I too thought it was low level pictures of a real building at first glance. We had a tuft of grass growing out of our gutters earlier this year, as did our neighbour. How grass gets that high is beyond me, unless the birds lift it as seed. Having had to deal in real life with the problems of vandals and buildings that are left unoccupied from time to time, I would suggest that there are too many complete panes of glass in what is not a tall building. In my experience, glass up to the first floor level in such a building cannot be left untouched. In my locale, most of the timber (doors and window frames) would have also gone to be reused elsewhere (burned).

RMweb Premium The White Rabbit Posted March 8, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 8, 2016 The big problem is having obscene words of only a few letters. If such words had three or four syllables, I reckon there'd be a lot less graffiti. I also had a rooftop garden last year, with a sizeable clump of yellow rocket on our chimneystack. I too blame the birds...
