D1030western musketeer
I am on the search for certain cars that appeared around the late 60 early 70 period but with no luck. Fat Controller
For what might be coming from the various manufacturers, this is sometimes of use:- http://www.ehattons.com/stocklist/Advance.aspx Just click on the relevant manufacturer, and it'll show you at least some of what's intended to be released. Another part of the same site will show what's currently available from each manufacturer:- http://www.ehattons.com/stocklist/Manufacturers.aspx

BernardTPM
Oxford already do the Marina; the Princess is planned and pre-production test castings shown. Bond Bugs don't have many colour variations! (but orange is a very 1970s colour ).

sub39h
late 80s and early 90s stuff for me - seems Oxford is starting to release stuff for around this time which is helpful, but would like more variety and more mainstream cars rather than Jags and GTIs
D1030western musketeer
I was aware that minix do the morris 1100 but apart from ebay and prices seem to be quite high is there any other way of getting hold of them. Do shops still stock them. Also I see they do the 1800 version. Thanks for the input and yes see that oxford are doing the viva and a40. Other cars to mention are the triumph herald and bubble car. I am modelling old oak depot around the period of 1967-72 but cars seem to be hard to come by although I have some variety including vw vans/beatles/rover/mini and Cortina mk1s. I fell in love with the morris 1100 due to having one in 1977 for 6 months until the head casket blew and would give an arm to have one or 2 on the layout. Richard. Minix have been out of production for about forty years; I would doubt that any shop would still have original stock. The Triumph Herald (wasn't this the last mass-produced British car with a chassis, albeit about as 'beefy' as a camp bed?) is available in several forms from Base Toys. RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted May 31, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 31, 2013 The Triumph Herald/Vitesse is made by Classix, the Spitfire/GT6 is a different model but uses the Herald/Vitesse chassis.
eastworld
There is no 4mm scale bulk tipping trailer - plenty of curtainsiders and heavy haul trailers but nothing for carrying mineral loads etc. Both a modern version ans something a bit older (1980s?) would be useful Stu

phil gollin
. I'd like a short-wheel base 1950s/60s tipper lorry ( Bedford RT ? ) - plus the Oxford WW2 military lorries in civilian liveries. Carama do a nice little BMW Isetta bubble car in 1.72 scale which sits well with 1.76 as it is so small. I have vague memories of this being available with a caravan or was I hallucinating
BernardTPM
I was aware that minix do the morris 1100 but apart from ebay and prices seem to be quite high is there any other way of getting hold of them. Also I see they do the 1800 version. The 1100 is much more common second hand than the 1800 and was produced for a longer period. Late ones have black moulded wheels and a white base/floor/bumpers whereas the earlier ones have metal wheels and a chrome finish floor section. You can sometimes find them at local shows in the scenic 'junk' boxes. R. Parker has done some kits for the 1100/1300 range - cast metal with one-piece bodies. They were very popular and common cars in their day so an RTP is likely to be made at some point.
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted May 31, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 31, 2013 The BMC 1100/1300 series actually outsold the Ford Cortina, but the Cortina officially outsold them as they all carried the same badge.

There was a 3 ton version for the scarabs, bantams etc. Yes Keith, either version would be handy, the main difference seems to be the 8 ton had twin rear wheels, often used for containers behind the likes of the Bedford OSS on the 'other' railways. I had looked at a conversion from the Corgi drop frame van, the chassis is a separate part and could have a platform body built on it.. Merf.
coachmann
Off-topic I know, but think of the layouts based on prewar and look in vain for buses built in the 1930s. We are given wartime buses by the boatload but even many 1940's postwar buses are missing.
