Class 37 Photos...

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Has anybody got any photos from the Intercity Diesel day (21st may 1989) of 37066 and 37058 doing the run to St. Pancras and back to Leicester? Now that's a trip that should be re-run. Tractors, choppers, bones, grids. I'm sure it would be a money spinner.

Cheers

Vin

Within about three years, the train would have been a rake of mineral wagons, containing the cut-up remains of the plant.

Yeah it was tragic. About 2 years earlier in 1977 half a mile behind the 37 I saw them relaying the line with new CWR.

Here’s a modelling idea too.... so you've lost a buffer from your class 37 model, nevermind I seem to have 2 photos which you can use for inspiration...

Both at York look at the buffers closely...

Easter Monday saw a railtour run from Eastleigh, with positioning moves on Easter Sunday and the Tuesday after. I managed to get both, popping out for an hour before Easter dinner to get the outbound.

IMG_0985-37612-37611-47810-1Z48-XL.jpg

37612 leads 37611 and 47810 past Avoncliff Junction working 1Z48 Whitchurch - Eastleigh, a positioning move for an Easter Monday railtour that was opened up to passengers. 47810 was being tripped down to Eastleigh for works attention 20/4/14

37612 leads 37611 away from Bathampton Junction working 1Z51 Eastleigh - Whitchurch, a positioning move after an Easter Monday railtour that was opened up to passengers 22/4/14

And now for something completely different...
