Johann Marsbar
I suppose it classes as a car, but I was rather amused to see this Greene King Abbott Ale "Popemobile" at Bury St Edmunds Beer Festival today...... Appears to have a handpump for the Pope to dispense a pint as well! 2 1

Start at £100k +VAT... https://mst-cars.com/ You will also need to be very patient. Hornby level patience. Customer car no1 was due to be handed over next week, 2 years late, but that's not happening now either. Will be on display at Salon Prive, Blenheim Palace next week though alongside the demo mk1 everyone has seen before and the Mk1 Evo, which has a very long way to go before it can hit the road. If enough trailers can be found, Customer car no.3 will be there too, which is a rather nice Mk1 track car bound for California. Only drawback is that you have to travel to Ireland to get one . https://www.ebay.ie/itm/274982005192?hash=item40063469c8:g:yA0AAOSwRnVfTSqn Higgins shells are Chinese copies, and rather poor ones at that. MST Cars demo mk2 was made from one of these. No two are exactly alike. OK for motorsport (which to be fair was what they were meant for) but not for the road. 1

For something dating from 1997/98 judging by the registration, the state of the vehicle itself could certainly be described as "showroom condition" with no signs of wear on the driving controls/pedals. I should have looked at the odometer to see how many miles it's done!

doilum
I wouldn't argue with this statement but have a look on YouTube for the discovery, recovery and sale of the David Brown collection.
TT-Pete
Today the Merc had an outing to the Wings & Wheels show at Henstridge airfield. An annual gathering of cars, military vehicles, planes and bikes organised by the Dorset Car Club - well worth a visit if you happen to be down this way on the August bank holiday weekend. https://www.wingsandwheelshenstridge.com/ I took a few photos, a truly eclectic mix with something for just about everyone: Part 2 follows... TT-Pete
@alastairq indeed, first time I have seen one "in the flesh", but not my cup of tea. This was my favourite of the day though (even if it only has three wheels) :^) A Merlin at full power, made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end... RMweb Premium Northmoor Posted August 26, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 26, 2023 I love that Westland Wasp. A Spitfire (isn't the one above a Seafire?) was first heard then seen passing a mile or two away, North to South, when I was in Cambridge yesterday afternoon.

I think you'll find that has a Griffon engine in it.

Ohmisterporter
I knew a chap who drove a DS as his daily runabout but it was in terrible condition. I asked where he went for the MOT because I wanted to take my own car there. He never spoke to me after that.

RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted September 12, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 12, 2023 (edited) Missed the first car as it surprised me motoring along the seafront. The tour seems to have taken place over four or five days, starting, I think, in Belgium, touring round southern England and participating in the Goodwood Revival event. The run along our seafront was on the final day, as they headed back to Europe. I have no idea of the marques or the ownerships.
