dseagull
According to the instructions for the Cambrian SECR 2 Plank Ballast Wagon (A rake of which I think would be nice for the shingle job on Litlington), I would need SR Red Oxide paint. Is this a specific shade, or would bog standard red oxide (Primer?) do the job? Cheers.
RMweb Gold Graham_Muz Posted July 9, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 9, 2013 SR engineers department stock was indeed red oxide and as such a primer would be fine I use Halfords red oxide plastic primer for mine.
N15class
Were they red oxide all over. Or were they like the refridgerated vans, having brown sole bars and black underframe.
dseagull
Excellent, red oxide primer it is. Cheers.
RMweb Gold Graham_Muz Posted July 10, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 10, 2013 Usually the solebars and underframe were in black.
N15class
Usually the solebars and underframe were in black. Thanks for that, I have a few LSWR ABS 7mm three planks to do.
